Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Medical Science Liaison Field Director, Oncology-New Products to lead a regional team and provide scientific, research, and educational support to healthcare professionals and internal partners related to current and future Janssen products, with the goal of developing treatments, finding cures, and pioneering the path from lab to life for patients with cancer.
Requirements
- A minimum of a graduate medical/scientific degree required, i.e. PhD, PharmD, NP, PA, MD, DO
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience, with a minimum of 5 years of healthcare/pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience required
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a MSL or Field Medical Manager is required
- Previous people management responsibility, including experience onboarding and training new hires, is required
- Immunology experience highly preferred
- Ability to maintain an office in the home and live in close proximity to an airport
- Requires travel of approx. 60% (includes overnight travel)
Responsibilities
- Provide scientific, research, and educational support to healthcare professionals and internal partners related to current and future Janssen products
- Lead a regional Solid Tumor MSL team and provide support, coaching, and development to each direct report
- Conduct routine strategy reviews with each MSL direct report and ensure strong clinical engagement strategy for each territory
- Execute field Medical Affairs programs, including product launches, proactive initiatives, and HCP engagement
- Stay abreast of scientific information and disease states to ensure proficient interaction and support modeling and coaching with the team
- Ensure the MSL execution of listening priorities and the collection and analysis of Medical Insights
- Provide oversight of all activities in accordance with current regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines
