Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking a skilled Platform Operations Engineer to join their infrastructure team, with a focus on Kubernetes fleet operations and platform reliability. This role involves hands-on management of containerized workloads across multiple clusters, implementing GitOps practices, and ensuring robust monitoring and operational excellence for their platform infrastructure.
Requirements
- Strong Kubernetes experience including cluster administration, troubleshooting, and application deployment
- Container technologies proficiency with Docker and containerization best practices
- GitOps tools experience with ArgoCD, Flux, or similar declarative deployment platforms
- Infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Helm for configuration management
- Monitoring system experience with Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, CloudWatch, or similar tools
- Cloud platform knowledge with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services
- Programming experience in Go, Python, or similar languages for automation and tooling
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across cloud and bare metal environments (K8s/K3s)
- Support cluster lifecycle management, including upgrades, scaling, and routine maintenance activities
- Deploy and manage applications across multiple Kubernetes clusters with a focus on consistency and reliability
- Implement and maintain security policies across the cluster fleet
- Troubleshoot cluster-level issues and support application deployment problem
- Implement and maintain GitOps workflows for automated deployments and infrastructure provisioning
- Set up and maintain centralized monitoring and logging systems for cluster health and performance visibility
Other
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Advanced degree is preferred
- 10-15 years’ of related experience
- IFE system development experience is a plus
- Ability to travel to domestic or international locations as required, up to 10% of the time
