Qualcomm is looking to solve the problem of delivering intelligent computing everywhere by harnessing the power of technology to transform industries and improve lives, and is seeking an intern to contribute to the development of best-in-class technologies including camera, video encoding/decoding, audio, speech, GPU, modem, CPU, application processor, multimedia engines, and computer vision.
Requirements
- 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Graphics: OpenCL, compilers, ray tracing, GPU, Vulkan/DX
- Computer Vision/XR: DNNs, motion, AR/XR, depth, linear algebra, perception
- Imaging: Image/video segmentation, 3D, pattern recognition, image/video processing
- Speech/Audio: Acoustics, TTS/text-to-speech, speech/audio signal processing and compression
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), deep learning, neural networks
Responsibilities
- Work on system-level architecture, analysis, budgeting, and optimization of multimedia use cases to achieve lowest power and best performance
- Contribute to the development of best-in-class technologies including camera, video encoding/decoding, audio, speech, GPU, modem, CPU, application processor, multimedia engines, and computer vision
- Collaborate with diverse talent and contribute to projects that are shaping the future of technology
- Participate in the development of multimedia engineering projects
- Apply knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Python to contribute to the development of multimedia technologies
- Work on graphics, computer vision, imaging, speech/audio, and video technologies
- Contribute to the development of software applications and tools

- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree program
- Must be available for 11–14 weeks during Summer 2026 (May–September)
- Expected graduation date of November 2026 or later
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with diverse talent
