The company is looking to modernize its banking systems and integrate with Discover, requiring experienced developers to design, develop, and test new features while ensuring system stability and reliability.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience developing on Profile application (MUMPS and PSL).
- At least 5 years of professional experience developing banking software such as financial products and financial reporting features.
- At least 2 years of professional experience with multi-tier system design and implementation.
- Experience with scripting languages (Shell Scripts, Awk).
- Knowledge of cloud engineering topics.
- Profile Core experience.
- PSL & MUMPS expertise.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed design specifications from project requirements.
- Design, develop, and test projects using existing design standards and within the accepted defect rate based on specification documents.
- Help gather and provide input to assist in overall team process improvement and product design stability.
- Properly track issues and resolutions related to the development effort using JIRA.
- Ensure that all code retains logical stability, reliability, confidentiality, and integrity of systems in accordance with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Other
- Work with the Development Team Leader and business owners to refine and clarify project requirements.
- Work with the Development Team Leader to help manage tasks and stories.
- Provide team leadership and proactively seek out areas for improvement.
- Help gather and provide input to assist in overall team process improvement and product design stability.
- 3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment.
- Good working knowledge of banking concepts.
- Must have experience with banking and financial services (not healthcare).
- Experience working on bank modernization and Discover integration.
- May work remotely.
