Prokarma is looking to support existing data systems and implement new ones, requiring a MySQL DBA to work with multiple technical groups to help them use MySQL Server databases in developing and supporting software solutions.
Requirements
- Strong working experience with Linux and MySQL
- Strong working experience with MySQL (v5+) DBA, Development technologies and database schema design, implementation and optimization.
- Experience in developing and tuning SQL
- Experience in one or more scripting languages; PHP, Python, Perl, Shell, Ruby
- Experience in cloud based server administration
- Knowledge with Nagios or other monitoring tools such as Monyog, MySQL Workbench, TOAD, etc.

- Monitor database backup and validate recovery plans

Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information System or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience managing MySQL DB servers including replication, performance management, backup, and recovery.
- Have a positive, upbeat, can-do attitude
- Follow change management policies to manage change in database environments
- Maintains established service level agreements to meet customer expectations and quality standards
