Electronic Arts is looking for a Narrative Design Intern to assist with narrative implementation, documentation, and the creation of engaging narrative gameplay mechanics for their Star Wars Jedi game, aiming to create an incredible experience for players.
Requirements
- Have a general understanding of interactive narrative mechanics.
- Basic narrative design experience with game design, level design, and writing.
- Experience with text-based scripting, visual scripting, and programming languages.
- Knowledge of modern game engine tools and pipelines such as Unreal Engine 5.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles such as polymorphism and inheritance to create strong system architecture.
Responsibilities
- Learn and assist with narrative implementation of wide-reaching game systems involving all departments.
- Become familiar with all implementation aspects of narrative and writing.
- Resolve complicated logic issues and come up with sustainable solutions.
- You will help create design documentation.
- Help identify needs for satisfying and engaging narrative gameplay mechanics.
Other
- You must reside in Los Angeles, CA during the Internship as we are not able to provide relocation or visa assistance.
- You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree granting program in a related field with an expected graduation date no earlier than December 2026.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the 12-week internship.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Experience working on a video game or interactive media project.
