Bollinger is seeking a Naval Architecture Intern to assist the Engineering department by applying academic knowledge in a professional, real-world environment, contributing to various projects through research, documentation, calculations, modeling, and participation in experiments.
Requirements
- Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software is a plus
- create and analyze models using GHS (General Hydrostatics) software
Responsibilities
- Perform structural calculations and weight take-offs
- assist in the development of 2D drawings and 3D modeling
- create and analyze models using GHS (General Hydrostatics) software
- Participate in incline experiments and deadweight surveys
- conducting research and preparing technical documentation
- organizing reports and maintaining engineering records
Other
- Currently a junior or senior enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Naval Architecture.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
