General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) needs to develop and optimize real-time embedded software for advanced GPS applications, specifically for precision-guided munitions and GPS tracking, to enable customers to successfully execute missions across all domains of operation.

Requirements

• Expert level experience in real-time embedded software and PC application development.
• Expertise in GPS embedded applications
• Proficiency in C/C++.
• Knowledge of Python and MATLAB is plus.
• Strong background in low-level I/O, driver development, and board-level implementation.
• A passion for mathematics and desire to be part of the navigation algorithm implementations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize real-time embedded software for advanced GPS applications.
• Work on cutting-edge projects involving precision-guided munitions and GPS tracking.
• Collaborate with a development team to integrate C/C++ navigation software and improve its performance.
• Develop tools for field test data analysis and customer support.

Other

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
• Agile experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
