GDIT is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join their IT Technology Operations division within the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA. The role involves supporting the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) by managing and maintaining their Oracle database systems, which are critical for law enforcement, counter-terrorism, counterintelligence, and cyber matters.
Requirements
- Oracle Database, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL (Programming Language)
- Oracle 18c or higher incl Oracle RAC
- Strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and query performance tuning
- Strong front end Scripting experience, JavaScript
- Strong HTML, CSS, AJAX and JSON experience
- Experience with Linux based systems hosting Oracle engines
- Database: Oracle PL/SQL, RDBMS modeling, Data Integrity, SQL Developer/TOAD
Responsibilities
- Create dynamic web pages using HTML, Oracle mod_plsql, Oracle webforms and oracle apex
- Maintain existing Oracle mod_plsql packages, Oracle and webforms and oracle apex
- Create and maintain Oracle tables
- Design and maintain Oracle packages
- Patch Oracle systems as required
- Upgrade Oracle systems as required
- Monitor Oracle environments
Other
- Active Top Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain SCI access after hire.
- 5+ years of experience in database and data management
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with a proven engineering, development, deployment, and maintenance of business-critical systems -- to include hands-on solutions development and implementation experience
- Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users
- Ability to establish and document new standards for quality, performance or productivity
