General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) is looking for an individual to design, develop, and implement nondestructive testing (NDT) to evaluate the properties and conformance of materials, components, or systems without causing damage.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- NAS 410 Certification Level 2: State issued industrial radiographer certificate
- Ability to achieve Level I or Level 2 certification in alignment with NAS 410 standards, through education, training, and testing, and perform the required Level 2 requirements

Responsibilities
- Designs, develops and implements nondestructive testing (NDT) to evaluate the properties and conformance of a material, component or system without causing damage.
- Records, analyzes and reports test results.
- Writes testing plans and maintains test documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.
- Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
- Develop specific calibrations and tests.
- Use of ultrasound, radiography, or other techniques during the testing process.
- Conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
Other
- Requires full proficiency in a range of technical processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
