The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) is looking to solve system application development needs, including new application development, enhancements, and maintenance of existing applications, as well as resolving complex problems and optimizing database systems.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency with C-Sharp (LINQ, syntax, async/await, etc.)
- Experience with .NET (Core, version 6/7/8 or later, etc.)
- Experience building and consuming APIs (REST/JSON/HTTP, etc.)
- Demonstrated proficiency in SQL (basic CRUD queries, stored procedures, etc.)
- Experience with UI Frameworks (Blazor, React, Angular, etc.)
- Experience with API design, versioning, and security (OAuth, JWT, OpenAPI, etc.)
- Experience with Advanced SQL functions (database tuning, query optimization, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Application analysis, development, and support
- Meet system application development needs to include new application development, enhancements or maintenance of existing applications, and resolving complex problems
- Create and optimize WDVA's database systems in correlation with developed applications
- Collaborate with agency business managers, IS customers and IS staff in completion of assigned duties
- Perform advanced level duties with goals and priorities established by the IS supervisor
- Independently, or as part of a team, meet system application development needs
- Resolve complex problems

- A twelve-month probationary period will be required
- Due to the nature of this position's duties, candidates will be subject to a criminal background check prior to appointment
