Schwab's Mutual Fund Technology organization needs to build and maintain applications that enable and support trading, placement, and clearing of Mutual Funds, and reconcile and report on trades. They are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to create, maintain, support, and improve complex technology operations for groundbreaking data analytics platforms, with an emphasis on continuous improvement (CI/CD) through DevOps and SRE principles.
Requirements
- Hands on experience gained through 4-5+ years in a software development role
- Experience with full stack application development technologies
- Experience with C
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Experience with front end technologies such as Angular or React
- Experience with ASP.NET web forms, MVC, JSON/XML
- Experience with Relational (SQL/Oracle) and Document-Based (No-SQL/MongoDB) databases
- Experience with Cloud technologies
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, support, and improve complex technology operations for groundbreaking data analytics platforms
- Apply modern engineering principles around DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering
- Conduct and prepare feasibility studies for new and existing applications
- Provide technical expertise
- Work with several different database systems and business processes
- Collaborate with the development teams and technology leaders across Schwab technology on product development, best practices, and automation
- Accessing and applying emerging technologies, practices, and processes and strategizing and executing projects to improve efficiency and innovation

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
