The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requires product sustainment support for large government transformation and information technology (IT) programs to meet their mission objectives and goals. The Software Development team needs to support multiple applications and data architecture, requiring a .NET Software Developer to address performance, production issues, and system maintenance.
Requirements
- Experience with Visual Studio, C-Sharp, ASP.NET MVC (Razor, JavaScript, and Web API), JSON, XML, SQL, PowerShell, HTML5 Image Viewers, and SOAP UI or Postman.
- Working knowledge of source code control
- Familiarity with the agile development methodology
- VistA Imaging, experience with commercial PACS and PACS Integration
- Experience with applicable standards-based image exchange and integration, Cerner CAMM/iCache or Cerner Imaging integrations, MUSE, ECG integration.
- DICOM, QIDO RS/ WADO RS, FHIR (specifically imaging resource and diagnostic report), LOINC
Responsibilities
- Implement solutions including code development and database design
- Support operations by identifying, researching and resolving performance and production issues
- Assist in maintenance and development on systems
- Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering system capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results
- Refactor, optimize, and improve the existing codebase for maintenance and performance
- Evaluate new or replacement software
- Upgrade existing software
Other
- Work with product managers and stakeholders to get clarification on business requirements
- Work under general direction with the ability to act independently when determining methods and procedures on new or existing functionality
- Interface with customers for requirements gathering, troubleshooting, and verification
- Write technical documentation
- Ability to communicate complex procedures to colleagues and customers
