ByteDance Networking is looking to solve the problem of designing, building, and operating a global, intelligent network infrastructure to meet the requirements of high availability, scalability, and high-performance for their popular apps like Douyin and TikTok, which serve hundreds of millions of users.
Requirements
- Foundational understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, routing protocols).
- Some programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, Go).
- Experience with network-related projects (e.g., designed in a lab environment or projects involving internet performance measurement).
Responsibilities
- Support the operations and build-out of a rapidly expanding global edge network.
- Assist with the deployment and expansion of new PoPs and network interconnections.
- Learn about network optimization, data analysis (flow data), and automation tools.
Other
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Eagerness to learn about large-scale network infrastructure and operations.
- Successful candidates must be able to commit to an onboarding date by end of year 2026.
