The business problem is to support the backbone of the connected aviation GLOBALink communication system by designing, developing, testing, and evaluating network security and communication technologies, products, and solutions in support of the ARINC Global Network.
Requirements
- Understanding of IP Networks, and network management concepts.
- Experience with engineering reliability and availability.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity/security methodologies and concepts and technologies as they apply to network and cloud infrastructures.
- Ability to configure and install various network security devices and services (e.g., stateful firewalls, web application firewalls (WAFs), SIEM, AA, IDS/IPS, DDoS, Anti-Malware/Anti-Virus Protection).
- Knowledge of network security systems, products, and subsystems.
- Experience with threat and vulnerability analysis, risk mitigation, information assurance, penetration testing.
- Knowledge of Security/Cybersecurity methodologies and their application to network and systems design.
Responsibilities
- You will serve as a technical member on projects that contain moderate to highly complex environments, utilizing high availability concepts.
- You will collaborate with other members of the Engineering team in the development of technical design solutions.
- You will capture, analyze, decompose and create requirements for infrastructure security systems, products and subsystems of moderate complexity.
- You will use an interdisciplinary approach, focusing on customer needs and business requirements, to design, develop, document, test and maintain network security systems ranging from the straightforward to moderately complex.
- You will conduct threat and vulnerability analysis, risk mitigation, information assurance, penetration testing.
- You will apply Security/Cybersecurity methodologies to network and systems design to provide secure services that support business requirements and ensure information security.
- You will provide post-fielding support, resolving operational issues involving L2 and L3, in a multi-routing network infrastructure.

- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive and committed work effort, meeting deadlines and managing workload.
