The University of South Florida (USF) Health is seeking a Program Clinician and Manager for the Neuro-Cardiac Program to develop the clinical, academic, and community-facing basis for the program's growth.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience
- Meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor
- Certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64 (for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse)
- Certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64 (for Physician Assistant)
- Eligible for certification in the state of Florida
Responsibilities
- Complete inpatient Neuro-cardiac consultation daily at Tampa General Hospital (TGH)
- Complete afternoon cardiology clinic (4 days per week) at USF
- Serve as the primary referral point-of-contact for patients and referring providers
- Connect patients to the appropriate scheduler for provider appointments or procedure scheduling
- Follow up with referring providers to ensure the care-continuum loop is completed
- Oversee primary maintenance and management of clinical and IRB-approved data registries for Neuro-cardiac devices
- Interact with USF and TGH Public relations and CME offices, as well as industry partners
