Sandisk is seeking a Product Development Engineer to develop and bring a Mobile/SSD product to market, focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining a product test flow that balances cost, quality, and time to market.

Requirements

  • Strong technical skills in area of study
  • Interest in flash memory, semiconductor, components, nonvolatile memory industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Windows and Linux server storage environments
  • Both analog/digital design and simulation experience required.
  • Python/C development skills
  • Specialization in analog design, digital design, device physics related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Creating the test strategy for new embedded Flash products based on customer requirements, engineering specifications, and device characteristics.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, structured problem solving, attention to details and ability to change direction quickly.
  • Modify/Write Python scripts to perform data analysis with statistic libraries.
  • Collaborate with all internal functions (design, device, firmware, test, system, marketing, packaging, quality, reliability, and manufacturing) needed to develop and bring a Mobile/SSD product to market.
  • Resolving HW (PKG/NAND/ASIC) related failures during the development process.
  • Work with the manufacturing team to proactively improve the yield, test cost and quality.
  • Design, develop, and maintain a product test flow that balances cost, quality, and time to market while meeting various internal and external requirements.

Other

  • Current student, pursuing a BS, MS or Ph.D.in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering field with a graduation date before July 2026.
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team but display leadership when needed and display strong ownership of projects and results.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
