LPL Financial is evolving into a high-performance fintech organization and needs to build and maintain secure, scalable, and always available technology systems to support financial advisors and their clients. The Infrastructure and Operations teams are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining these systems, including cloud platforms, data centers, networks, and enterprise applications, to ensure continuous software delivery with minimal downtime.

Requirements

  • Classroom experience directly related to your preferred role
  • Experiences such as an internship, hackathon, research project or related experience
  • Good understanding of at least one programming language (i.e C++ or Java)
  • Good understanding of networking technology (i.e. Routers, Switches)
  • Basic understanding of cloud concepts (i.e AWS, Azure or GCP)

Responsibilities

  • design, builds, and maintains the technology systems that power the company
  • make sure these systems are secure, scalable, and always available
  • use automation, monitoring tools, and incident response strategies to keep things running smoothly
  • support continuous software delivery with minimal downtime
  • help build infrastructure using code
  • optimize cloud services
  • monitor system performance

  • This position would like the ideal candidate to be local to the Fort Mill office functioning off a hybrid schedule at the intern and manager’s discretion.
  • Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, or related field required
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving and task completion, taking ownership of assignments
  • Proficient organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and willingness to embrace change and quickly learn new technologies and frameworks as the software landscape evolves
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team
  • Please note: In order to be eligible, candidates must have an expected graduation date between May 2025 and June 2026
