Requirements
- 2 years of experience with 3D CAD modeling
- 1 year experience working on product development, including prototyping and testing
- Experience with dimensional engineering and tolerance analysis
- Ability to code in Python, Java, or similar language
- Knowledge of manufacturing, lean, and process improvement methodology
- Knowledge of the building industry
- Experience with test method creation and improvement
Responsibilities
- Partner with R&D teams as well as manufacturing and quality teams to develop solutions for current and next generation window and door products
- Influence the system form factor, product performance, and customer experience for those using our products
- Develop solutions for current and next generation window and door products
- Work on product development, including prototyping and testing
- Conduct dimensional engineering and tolerance analysis
- Diagnose and solve complex problems involving product and process
- Create and improve test methods
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to present facts to team members at all levels and backgrounds
- Hands on practical experience building something, either personal or professional
- 5 years of experience working in Research and Development or working in a product development environment
- Travel requirements not specified
