Renewal by Andersen is looking for an accomplished, driven, and collaborative New Product Development Design Engineer II on their Research, Development and Innovation team to develop new products and services via Stage-Gate product development processes.
Requirements
- CAD experience required
- Experience delivering products from ideation through commercialization using a gated design review process
- Experienced knowledge of lean, manufacturing, design, and quality systems
- Demonstrated ability with dimensional engineering and tolerance/variation analysis
- Experience with Autodesk, FEA, MS Office, BAAN, and MES
Responsibilities
- Designs, plans, collects, analyzes, and reports on experimental studies and/or new product concepts/ideas.
- Applies engineering rigor to product designs; ensuring the product will meet performance expectations and delight customers.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead activities on technically challenging assignments
- Develop multiple concepts related to meeting a customer need
- Evaluate and recommend engineering and design solutions
- Create and present reports summarizing technical analysis and business viability to varied audiences
- Maintain primary technical communication responsibility, lead tactical discussions, and effectively communicate with external customers and staff.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Experience as a design engineer on a cross-functional engineering team
- Strong aptitude for process improvement, problem solving, technical execution, and project management
- 4-10 years engineering or technical experience
- Experience as a design or project lead on a cross-functional engineering team
