Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation is looking for an NPI Engineering Technician to support the timely and accurate completion of phased gate NPI activities for high-complexity products, ensuring a smooth transition from design to release.
Requirements
- Must possess a solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes and exposure to various component types (SMT, Through-Hole, Press Fit, Wire Harness, etc.…).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, some work instruction software (VKS preferred), ERP system experience (Glovia), Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Project, and/or Project Planning skills.
Responsibilities
- Submitting and/or tracking ECNs and deviations as required.
- Provides review and understanding of assembly drawings (dimensioning/tolerances) and instructions.
- Review of document packages for completeness. This includes the bill of materials, work instructions, test procedures, drawings, basic schematics, special instructions, etc.
- Prepares process flows and assembly work instructions as required.
- Ensures manufacturing processes are clear, robust, error-proofed, and repeatable.
- Coordinates New Product Introduction (NPI) activities with multiple departments.
- Assures that all required customer, industry, and company work standards are properly documented.
Other
- Minimum of a High School Diploma with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in an Electronics/Manufacturing environment
- Bachelor/associate degree is preferred.
- Must have strong communication and organization skills – written and verbal.
- Clearly demonstrate flexibility and self-discipline to plan/accomplish objectives while multi-tasking and prioritizing.
