The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is expanding home visiting in NYC and streamlining how providers, organizations, and community residents can access quality home-visiting services to improve maternal and child health and well-being.
Requirements
- Proficient in SAS
- Knowledge of maternal and infant health and home visiting programs
- Strong writing skills with experience in writing publications, presenting and prepare public facing documents
- Excellent Communication skills
- Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team
Responsibilities
- Oversee data quality assurance, including data checking, cleaning, recoding of variables and create and maintain SAS programs and datasets.
- Perform analysis of program and Unit data, run routine reports, collaborate with program staff to develop metrics to measure success and outcomes.
- Produce tables, graphs, charts, and reports as requested for monitoring of program implementation quality and for use in presentations and reports.
- Document all processes and procedures utilized in creating and maintaining database(s).
- Collaborate with technology platform model developers, as needed, to support the development of the Program database and refinement maintenance of the Coordinated Intake and Referral System databases to ensure they are accessible and usable in support of program operations.
- Train other staff, as needed, in data entry and data support procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of relevant data security and compliance protocols.
Other
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health.
- New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment.
- Probationary Period: Appointments to this position are subject to a minimum probationary period of one year.
