Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building NLP-powered search or recommendation systems
- Strong Python skills and familiarity with NLP frameworks like Hugging Face Transformers, spaCy, or similar
- Hands-on experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, or Weaviate
- Practical knowledge of LLMs and their applications in search or content enrichment
- Understanding of product taxonomies, entity resolution, and semantic ranking techniques
- Experience with search evaluation metrics and A/B testing in production environments
- Passion for applying cutting-edge AI to real-world business problems
Responsibilities
- Design and implement semantic search and ranking algorithms that deliver highly relevant, personalized search results
- Build and optimize vector search pipelines using databases like Pinecone or FAISS to enable efficient, semantic retrieval
- Leverage large language models (LLMs) to enhance query understanding, product taxonomy integration, and search enrichment
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine our taxonomy and metadata for improved search accuracy
- Continuously measure, test, and improve search relevance using data-driven approaches and user feedback
- Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to shared NLP and search infrastructure
- Stay ahead of industry trends in NLP, ML, and AI to bring innovative solutions to Vacatia’s platform
