Requirements
- SQL (data querying, optimisation, and modelling)
- Python (data engineering, analytics, automation)
- Data modelling (including star schemas and relational design)
- Cloud data platforms (ideally Microsoft Fabric or equivalent)
- ELT pipeline design and optimisation
- Knowledge of governance, privacy, and information security in data systems
Responsibilities
- Shape and deliver NHS Grampian’s cloud data architecture, covering storage, integration, processing, and analytics
- Use SQL and Python alongside modern ELT approaches to design, build, and optimise data pipelines
- Model and structure data for analysis, creating trusted solutions that support real world decision making
- Work closely with clinicians, service leaders, local authorities, and national health bodies to ensure systems meet operational and strategic needs
