CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care and support to patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in a defined care team and in accordance with assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program, Required upon hire.
- American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR), Required upon hire.
- Licensed Practical Nurse: ND (LPN:ND), Required within 90 Days.
- Work Authorization issued by the State of North Dakota Board of Nursing (LPN).
Responsibilities
- Implements the steps of the nursing process (i.e. assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation) when providing direct patient care at a level consistent with education and under the direct supervision of the RN Preceptor.
- Contributes in the development of the plan of care for individuals in conjunction with the RN Preceptor.
- Provides patient information to nursing staff for inclusion in the interdisciplinary plan of care; documents relevant patient data in accordance with work unit standards.
- Performs, monitors, reports and documents all clinical activities within assigned tasks.
- Observes and reports changes in patient condition to the RN Preceptor.
- Responds to patient calls, anticipates patient needs, and assures patient safety and comfort through hourly rounding, environmental maintenance and other appropriate safety measures.
- Provides patient personal care/hygiene and physical comfort within assigned tasks, including, but not limited to; feeding, bathing, shaving, changing clothes, bed making, ambulation, lifting, turning, moving, transferring, skin care and bowel/bladder elimination.

- Graduate of an accredited LPN program, Required upon hire.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift, turn, move, and transfer patients.
- Ability to provide patient personal care/hygiene and physical comfort.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
