NYSIF is seeking an Expert Software Developer to support the development and maintenance of their Policy Administration systems, including system re-engineering efforts, new development of upcoming statutory projects, and resolution of production issues.
Requirements
- 84+ months experience in Oracle development, PL/SQL development including Triggers, Packages, Procedures, functions, views, SQL Tuning, and generating a data file from Oracle
- 84 months experience with Microsoft C-Sharp.Net and Object-Oriented Programming, developing web-based systems using Microsoft ASP.NET and MVC
- 84 months experience in static scanning, Third party component Scan and vulnerability remediation
- 60 months experience with JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, JSON, and HTML, XML, REST API
- 84 months experience developing web application conforming to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
- 60 months experience in using Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
Responsibilities
- Assist with new development of upcoming statutory projects
- Assist with system re-engineering efforts related to the new suite of Policy Administration systems
- Develop Oracle stored procedures, packages, views, and triggers necessary to maintain underwriting, premium audit, risk control, and billing processes
- Assist with the timely resolution of production issues
- Assist with system re-engineering and maintenance efforts related to Policy Center written in Javascript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, MVC, and .Net Core
- Assist with security scanning and remeditate vulnerabilities
- Develop various policy related API and microwebservices
Other
- Must be able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment (50% in Albany, NY)
- Must undergo and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check

- Must be willing to work on a 30-month contract
