The Oncology Research Unit (ORU) is looking to solve the problem of seamless integration of scientific, administrative, and cultural initiatives across multiple sites, including La Jolla and Bothell, by hiring an Executive Business & Lab Operations leader.

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic business and operational support to the SVP & CSO to enhance the ORU goals, strategies and organizational efficiencies with key internal partners and stakeholders.
- Create and manage key communications for the Office of the SVP & CSO, including change initiatives and key process improvements.
- Partner closely with Business Operations across Oncology and the enterprise as needed to facilitate alignment and coordination of strategy, priorities and related communications.
- Manage the operating rhythm and meeting agendas for ORU LT.
- Support the compilation of strategic documents, presentations, etc. in collaboration with other partners as needed.
- Oversee scientific laboratory operations, including space planning, equipment management, safety compliance, and process optimization.
- Oversee site affairs and engagement activities to support fostering a vibrant and inclusive workplace culture through colleague engagement programs, communications platforms, and cultural integration initiatives.
Other
- BS Degree with 12 years, Ms/MBA with 10 years, or PhD with 7 years of experience in life sciences, business administration, or related field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in biotech/pharma R&D operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven leadership experience in biotech/pharma R&D operations, preferably in oncology.
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
- Permanent work authorization in the United States.
