The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints seeks to build teams that represent the diverse perspectives, broad life experiences and backgrounds of its global Church membership. The Online Learning Technical Writing Intern will assist users of online Seminary, Institute, and BYU Pathway religion courses, contributing to the clarity and accessibility of educational materials.
Requirements
- Strong writing, revising, copyediting, and proofreading skills
- Attention to detail, ability to sustain concentration for long periods of time, and maintain the highest level of accuracy
- Proficiency in another language (Spanish preferred) is a plus, but not necessary
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for users related to online course content and usage in Online Seminary, Institute, and BYU Pathway Religion courses
- Support the resolution of course-related escalation issues, including instructor inactivity and student concerns
- Write, revise, and proofread email content for various audiences
- Write, revise, and proofread technical resources and how-to guides for internal and external audiences
- Use AI tools to translate communications and resources into other languages
- Complete other projects and tasks as needed, ensuring attention to detail and consideration of important deadlines
Other
- Must be enrolled in or recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from an undergraduate or graduate degree program—preferably in English, technical writing, communication, instructional design, or another related field
- Must live in Utah and be authorized to work in the U.S.A.
