The Online Learning Technical Writing Intern will assist users of online Seminary, Institute, and BYU Pathway religion courses, contributing to the clarity and accessibility of educational materials.
Requirements
- Strong writing, revising, copyediting, and proofreading skills
- Attention to detail, ability to sustain concentration for long periods of time, and maintain the highest level of accuracy
- Proficiency in another language (Spanish preferred) is a plus, but not necessary
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for users related to online course content and usage in Online Seminary, Institute, and BYU Pathway Religion courses
- Support the resolution of course-related escalation issues, including instructor inactivity and student concerns
- Write, revise, and proofread email content for various audiences
- Write, revise, and proofread technical resources and how-to guides for internal and external audiences
- Use AI tools to translate communications and resources into other languages
- Complete other projects and tasks as needed, ensuring attention to detail and consideration of important deadlines
Other
- Must be enrolled in or recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from an undergraduate or graduate degree program—preferably in English, technical writing, communication, instructional design, or another related field
- Must live in Utah and be authorized to work in the U.S.A.
