Texas Tech University's Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking to expand its faculty expertise in robotics and related fields to advance its research and educational offerings.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in robotics, general aerospace engineering, and/or systems engineering.
- A strong record of scholarly research and publication in relevant fields.
- Potential to establish a strong, externally funded research program.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Familiarity with current trends and challenges in robotics and aerospace engineering.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting-edge research in emerging areas of mechanical and aerospace engineering, with a focus on robotics.
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in robotics and related engineering disciplines.
- Supervise graduate student research and mentor undergraduate students.
- Seek external funding to support research activities.
- Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences.
- Collaborate with faculty within the department and across the university.
- Contribute to the department's curriculum development and strategic planning.
