The Department of Computer Science at Texas State University is seeking a tenure-track faculty position to conduct research, teach, and serve at the department, college, university, and professional levels, with a focus on Machine Learning, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence.
Requirements
- Earned doctorate in Computer Science or a closely related field
- Evidence of or potential for research excellence in Machine Learning, Data Science, and/or Artificial Intelligence
- Evidence of or potential to obtain external funding
- Evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring students
- Ability to contribute to the departmental mission
- Demonstrated record of excellence in research, teaching, and service
- Record of excellence in research, including successful preparation of grant proposals and acquisition of funds for research and a strong publication record
Responsibilities
- Conducting research that results in refereed publications and external funding
- Teaching effectively at the graduate and undergraduate levels
- Supervising student research
- Serving at the department, college, university, and professional levels
