Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. The Operations Data Analyst extracts operations data for analysis, leadership support and responses to ad hoc data requests. The incumbent maintains operations tools & databases ensuring that it is kept up-to-date using data from various PG&E systems. They develop, maintain and enhance operational metric database tools for the broader analytics team(s). The Analyst identifies and solves current gaps in data requirements and ease of access to ensure fast and consistent responses to leadership inquiries.
Requirements
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel/Access (complex formulas, graphing, VBA)
- Advanced skill in writing SQL queries using Oracle or Business Objects
- Experience with Python and Python libraries (Pandas, Statsmodels)
- Strong knowledge of base-SAS and programming language such as Visual Basic, Perl, C

- Creates automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery ensuring accurate data manipulation and data cleansing.
- Manages extracting data and transferring the data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts.
