Lockheed Martin is looking to improve the performance and culture of their F35 Fab and Assembly operations through a Continuous Improvement Framework strategy. The role will manage Operations Engineers to align culture, break through objectives, and strategy deployment, focusing on reducing inefficiencies and fostering preventative problem-solving.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
- Project/Program management with strong organizational skills
- Experienced in process development and continuous improvement
- Experience in design and management of continuous improvement frame works or systems.
- Understanding and arrangement of lean tools and principles
- Ability to analyze and utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement
- Experience and adaptability with manufacturing automation concepts and implementation
Responsibilities
- Develop & create a standardized strategy and continuous improvement review for the F35 line of business.
- Lead a team of Operations Engineers focused on HPU reduction, SRR reduction, lean manufacturing and Operations Excellence; drive a focus on preventative problem resolutions vs. heroics.
- Lead the Continuous Improvement Roadmap driving the factory of the future through project identification, development and implementation of A3 Problem Solving, CI projects, JDI's, and Kaizens.
- Lead a team of Operations Engineers to coach and develop PMT's/IPT's/OBEYA and policy deployment to build future leaders.
- Lead a team of Operations Engineers to maintain the health of the continuous improvement framework.
- Lead a team of Operations Engineers to align year-end strategy deployment processes to achieve break through objectives and annual improvement priorities.
- Manage the Kaizen Promotion office activity, development of talent through training in Kaizen activities, and maintain the schedule of the F35

- Manage & lead top level Continuous Improvement Framework strategy, planning & execution across F35 Fab and Assembly.
- Ability to lead and influence teams across multiple locations
- Will have excellent communication skills and be able to operate autonomously with minimal direction
- Proven leader of a multi-functional team
