The business problem is to support and continuously improve several key operational programs across water systems, power forecasting, and specialty chemical management at bp.
Requirements
- Experience with cost forecasting, performance tracking, and field support.
- Strong data analysis and communication skills.
- Background in production, facilities, or project engineering.
- Familiarity with chemical treatment programs, field power systems, or water infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Spotfire, Power BI, Excel, SQL, or similar tools.
- Experience with asset health monitoring, asset life cycle management, and reliability fundamentals.
- Knowledge of plant economics, process safety management, and equipment criticality assessment.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and annual forecasting for upstream electrical power consumption.
- Identify key drivers of power usage and develop a robust budget with clear assumptions & methodology.
- Partner with infrastructure and midstream teams to align forecasts with real-world system behavior.
- Develop tools and dashboards to support transparent planning and cost tracking.
- Manage the produced water cooling program to ensure midstream pipeline spec compliance.
- Track deployed units, coordinate with field maintenance teams for installations/removals, and maintain a program budget.
- Support ongoing monitoring of water transfer pumps and on-pad liquids handling systems.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related scientific discipline.
- 3 years of experience in upstream or midstream oil & gas operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage operational programs and collaborate with field and technical teams, driving continuous improvement.
- Up to 25% travel should be expected with this role
