The USCG Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) needs to optimize the use of capital plant and equipment and aviation material, and improve the reliability of aircraft components and systems.
Requirements
- Proficiency with SQL, SAS or relevant querying tools
- Experience in adapting from American National Standards Institute Structured Query Language (ANSI Modern SQL) standards to individual vendor implementations (Ingres, Oracle, SQL Server or other)
- Supportable expertise in MS Excel
- Minimum of one (1) year work experience using SQL or other query tools
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience related to Data acquisition and analysis from legacy business systems
- Introductory experience related to Database Administration (DBA)
- Knowledge of SAE JA1011 and JA1012 Standards, Statistical Analysis Methods, Reliability Analysis Methods, System Safety Methods, and Maintenance data system documentation
Responsibilities
- Provide systematic investigation of component and/or system characteristics to calculate survival, failures and future usage requirements.
- Execution of studies, interpretations and documentation of findings.
- Evaluation of safety impacts of aircraft maintenance procedures.
- Facilitate and provide expert oversight and report findings of RCM work groups.
- Determine the applicability and effectiveness of existing maintenance schedules versus component failure rates.
- Provide reliability services, training, planning, presentations and reports related to RCM to ALC Business Centers, ALC Chain of Command and Coast Guard Headquarters.
- Support all business areas of ALC and Headquarters including monitoring and support of M-1 Measures for Aeronautical Engineering
Other
- Associates degree or equivalent experience related to maintenance, reliability, or safety of aeronautical systems
- Level I RCM Analyst or similar investigation experience
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience related to maintenance, reliability, or safety of complex systems
- Completed/initiated background investigation of at least a Tier 1
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
