Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, including architecture, administration, and security
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience with large-scale data migration
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience designing storage and retrieval solutions for both structured and unstructured data, in support of data science pipelines
- Strong command of SQL tools
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
- PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and architect migration of data environments with performance and reliability
- Experience in crafting database / data warehouse solutions in cloud (Preferably AWS. Alternatively Azure, GCP.)
- Helping build the structure and design of the database
- Implementing security measures for the data
- Controlling access to the database
- Building different environments for development, testing, and production
- Merging and migrating data when necessary
Other
- Ability to hold a position of public trust with the US government
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline
- 8+ years of total experience
- 5+ years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field
- Impeccable attention to detail
