ISO New England is seeking a Database Developer to provide functional and technical expertise for critical business units, focusing on the Day Ahead & FTR Applications team, to ensure the safe and reliable flow of electricity and plan for the future of the electric grid during the transition to clean energy.
Requirements
- 5+ years of working experience as a PL/SQL Developer or similar role
- Working experience in Oracle, SQL, Postgres, PL/SQL development and Microsoft SQL server
- Experience with tools like PL/SQL Developer, Oracle SQL Developer, and etc
- Experience with software version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Programming experience in Electric Utility Industry or Power System Markets
Responsibilities
- Planning, coordinating, and performing complex technical assignments related to software applications in support of the Day Ahead Market Admin, FTR/ARR Market Admin, Forecasting Office, and Markets Monitoring groups
- Analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting, recommending solutions and implementing fixes associated with Market System applications
- 24 x7 support for Day Ahead and FTR Market applications as needed
- Assisting in the development of RFPs and evaluation of results
- Coordinating with consultants and vendors on project deliverables
- Lead IT Support activities for one or more business areas
- Follow the Change Management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies and procedures during the course of the work
