Next Generation, Inc. (NGI) is looking to modernize legacy Oracle Forms and Reports applications by migrating them to Oracle Apex, integrating modern analytics platforms, and ensuring optimal database performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Oracle application development experience, including Apex and PL/SQL.
- Strong expertise with Oracle Apex (version 22.x or later), including Dynamic Actions, RESTful Web Services, and Interactive Reports.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL development with a focus on performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI and BI Publisher.
- Proven track record migrating Oracle Forms and Reports applications to modern platforms.
- Knowledge of Oracle Database (12c/19c), SQL, and relational database design.
- Familiarity with APIs, RESTful web services, and JSON/XML processing in Apex.
Responsibilities
- Lead the modernization of legacy applications from Oracle Forms and Reports to Oracle Apex while enhancing performance and functionality.
- Design, develop, and implement robust, scalable, and secure Oracle Apex applications.
- Write, optimize, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, packages, triggers, and views for complex database solutions.
- Develop interactive reports and dashboards using Oracle Apex, Power BI, and BI Publisher for improved decision-making.
- Integrate Apex applications with Oracle databases and ensure performance optimization.
- Maintain integration with existing Oracle Forms applications until modernization is complete.
- Implement best practices for version control using GitHub (or similar) and support CI/CD pipelines.

- Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
- Provide training, knowledge transfer, and technical documentation to support ongoing adoption of modernized applications.
