O’Shaughnessy Asset Management (OSAM) is looking for a Software Developer to join their Core Technology team to develop, support, and maintain firmwide trading-data, performance, risk, research, and investment applications, APIs, and visualization tools.
Requirements
- Must be proficient in C-Sharp and SQL (SQL Server / relational databases). Other similar OOP languages might be acceptable depending on experience.
- Have additional experience with: ETL workflows, REST APIs, WCF, and WinForms
- Be very comfortable developing in MS Visual Studio
- Solid computer science fundamentals with knowledge of data structures / algorithms
- Understand proper source control practices (Git experience preferred)
- Experience with investment performance workflows and analytics
- 4-6 years of prior professional programming experience
Responsibilities
- Work directly with trading, engineering, and R&D departments to solve a wide variety of evolving data and emerging business requirements
- Design, develop, and support significant components managing client portfolios
- Develop applications in C-Sharp/SQL in a stable and scalable manner
- Build robust data pipelines from many sources of varied levels of data quality, supporting business demands, ad-hoc client analytic requests, and the core production applications
- Ensure all code, new and old, meets standards for coding, architecture, and operation

- This is a HYBRID position (three days in office) in our NYC or Stamford, CT office.
