Raytheon Industry 4.0 - Smart Digital Factory and Automation (SDF&A) needs a Software Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy advanced IIoT / Industry 4.0 technologies based in Ignition, and to perform root cause corrective action for hardware and software issues in the manufacturing factory.
Requirements
- 5+ years related experience, to include significant Ignition SCADA* development using combination of tools such as: SQL, Python, C-Sharp/.NET, HTML5, JSON
- Experience with Azure DevOps* services framework or similar Agile Project Management tools
- Experience building APIs and creating web applications
- Experience with Industry 4.0 key concepts – connectivity, data collection, IIoT, systems integration, AI, machine learning, ISA-95, Pub/Sub.
- Experience using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus/TCP, MQTT, EIP, SECS/GEM, etc.
- Experience with data analytics with skills that demonstrate the ability to prepare, process, analyze, and visualize significant amounts of information from multiple data sources.
- Ignition gold certification or willingness to achieve within first year
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute projects involving Ignition application development.
- Contribute to IIoT continued growth and deployment by working with sensors, gateways, connectivity solutions, APIs, and data analytic platforms.
- Provide recommendations and execution on methods to connect manufacturing equipment to IIoT/OT layer network
- Set communication protocols and network configurations on network devices (EIP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT, etc).
- Contribute to major team projects as well as work with minimal oversight to solve complex problems supporting SDF&A Engineering Systems.
- Analyze and correlate large, complex data sets; support digital thread implementation; develop and execute analytics reports and visualization toolsets while ensuring data integrity.
