Hyundai America Technical Center (HATCI) is seeking an OTA Software Engineer to manage and improve Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates for Hyundai/Kia/Genesis vehicles in the North American market, focusing on ensuring software quality, analyzing telematics data, and troubleshooting issues.
Requirements
- Experience in automotive or embedded product development
- Experience in software development for vehicle electric & electronic systems, telematics systems, controller units, or related products
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols and network systems, such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet, and operating data acquisition systems like ETAS/INCA and Vector/CANoe
- Experience in automotive software requirements specifications for in-vehicle network management or OTA system software
- Understanding of automotive telematics systems, server architecture, and cloud services
- Experience in automotive telematics data analytics
- Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, Java, C, and C++
Responsibilities
- Engage in engineering projects spanning various aspects of OTA systems, ensuring the delivery of robust and reliable software updates for North American production vehicles
- Conduct pre-production OTA testing and evaluation, along with post-production update validation, field monitoring, and troubleshooting to uphold quality standards
- Identify root causes of issues, design effective solutions, and collaborate with HQ to implement and deploy them successfully
- Perform Vehicle Customer Relationship Management (VCRM) data analysis to gain insights into customer needs, and develop dashboards, troubleshooting processes, and tools accordingly
- Experience in automotive software requirements specifications for in-vehicle network management or OTA system software
- Experience in automotive telematics data analytics
- Familiarity with classic and adaptive AUTOSAR
