- Penn State undergraduate student in good standing
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, pruning, and harvesting of apple and peach trees
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal tree health
- Participate in fruit assessment activities and sample preparation in the lab
- Learn and apply lab techniques for analyzing soil and fruit samples
- Contribute to ongoing research projects related to sustainable orchard practices
Other
- Interest in sustainability and tree fruit production
- Driver's license and means to commute to the orchard at Rock Springs
- Willingness to learn and work in a dynamic outdoor environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
- A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
