The University needs to compile and analyze data for its programs of institutional research, institutional effectiveness, and external reporting. This role will support these efforts by collecting data, analyzing trends, and developing data visualizations, as well as assisting with external reporting and ad hoc data requests.
Requirements
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, etc.); advanced Excel skills required
- Proven statistical analysis skills, including proficiency with a data science programming language such as SAS, SQL, R, Python, etc., required
- Proficiency with SAS Software (Base, Macro, SQL) – SAS Programming certification preferred
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI) and reporting automation tools (Argos) preferred
- Working knowledge of Banner preferred
- Familiarity with data privacy laws such as FERPA, GDPR, or other relevant regulations preferred
Responsibilities
- Compiles data required by external reporting authorities (IPEDS, ICUT, BGCT, THECB, NCAA, etc.)
- Provides information and analyses to support University initiatives in enrollment, retention, compliance (SACS, NCAA, etc.), and other areas
- Generates data for ad hoc requests for information from internal and external constituents
- Produces high-quality reports, studies, slide decks, and data visualizations, including the development and maintenance of dashboards for commonly-requested data
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director
Other
- Bachelor's degree required, master’s degree preferred
- Experience in institutional research preferred, preferably at a private university.
- At least one year of SAS programming experience strongly preferred (SAS Programming certification preferred).
