The Applied Systems Ecology lab in the department of Entomology at Penn State is looking to conduct studies on the ecology of insects in agricultural systems and needs undergraduate research assistants to help with the project.

Responsibilities
- Collaboratively design experimental protocols
- Maintain plants and insects used in experiments
- Collect and curate data
- Assist in the development of smart traps using Raspberry Pi systems
- Learn data analysis techniques in R and conduct analyses
- Share results of research work with the public, scientific and stakeholder audiences through presentations, written and online communications

- Ability to work 5-10 hours per week with opportunity for more hours during semester breaks
