The Built Landscapes and Urban Ecosystems (BLUE) Lab at Penn State is looking to clarify how belowground processes sustain plant health and drive ecosystem services in urban greenspaces and soils.
Requirements
- Strong interest(s) in urban ecology, plant sciences, soil science, and related fields
- Ability to work in a variety of conditions, including outdoors
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn new techniques and contribute as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Collecting plant and soil samples from field and greenhouse experiments
- Performing laboratory analyses
- Supporting experiment setup and maintenance
- Data entry, curation, and visualization
- Collaborating with graduate students and lab members on ongoing projects
