The Department of Plant Science at Penn State is seeking a research assistant to work in the weed ecology lab to assist with experiments in both the field and greenhouse, addressing key questions within weed ecology.
Requirements
- ability to operate a motor vehicle as part of job duties
- valid US driver’s license
- successful completion of a motor vehicle records check
Responsibilities
- collection and processing of plant and soil samples
- data collection
- data entry
- set up and maintenance of experiments
Other
- must be willing to work in a variety of environments, including outdoors
- must be organized, able to work independently as well as within a group
- demonstrate attention to details, and ability to follow instructions
- driver's license is required (but personal vehicle NOT required)
- successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
