Kantor Lab is currently recruiting undergraduate students to help with laboratory activities.
Requirements
- Perform laboratory tasks such as data entry, basic statistics, microscopy, sample collection, DNA extraction, PCR, and nematode identification/counts.
- Assist with experimental design, data collection, and analysis under supervision.
- laboratory coursework or previous research experience is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Assist with forest and insect vector sample collection.
- Support general lab operations, provide assistance in ongoing nematology, microbiology, and molecular biology experiments as assigned.
- Learn and follow scientific protocols.
- Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and research summaries (opportunities for co-authorship may be possible with significant contribution).

Other
- Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in wildlife and fisheries science, biology, microbiology, plant sciences, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Enthusiasm for gaining hands-on research experience and developing technical skills
