Requirements
- Experience with inventory management, pricing, and sales strategy.
- Familiarity with HVAC industry trends, products, and technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new software systems.
- Industry certifications, such as NATE or R-410A, are a plus.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Experience with market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy to drive sales growth and profitability, aligned with business objectives and market trends.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform product decisions, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Manage product life cycles, including product introductions, phase-outs, and substitutions, to optimize product offerings and minimize waste.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and programs.
- Develop and execute vendor management strategies to optimize product offerings, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with vendors to develop new products, promotions, and marketing initiatives, and to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Analyze and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stocking levels and minimize stockouts.
Other
- 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry, preferably in a product management or sales role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a sedentary environment with occasional walking, standing, and operating a motor vehicle.
- Ability to talk, drive, and visit customers occasionally.
