Wise is looking to identify and manage operational risks and controls within the Payment Operations team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and enhance risk management processes.

Responsibilities
- Help teams analyze new and existing products and operational processes, assessing risks and working with stakeholders to reduce risks to acceptable level;
- Proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, and initiating strategic projects to address them.
- Independently execute various risk-related tasks, such as monitoring controls, conducting risk assessments, analyzing data, and investigating potential issues.
- Assess and test existing controls, working with stakeholders to improve existing controls and implement new ones;
- Ensure compliance with Regulation E in Payment Operations. Supporting the operational teams on how to interpret regulatory requirements, improving processes and our product to avoid regulatory breaches and/or incidents.
- Drive risk mitigation projects and ensure their timely completion. Ownership of issue remediation activities using our risk management tool (Audit Board) to ensure appropriate risk focused prioritization.
- Perform monitoring routines over various topics, reporting the results.
