JPMorgan Chase is looking to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way within the Payment Services technology team

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • 10+ years of development experience with 7+ years of demonstrated recent experience in Java development
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing software engineering teams, with a focus on individual growth and overall team performance
  • Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security and Practical cloud native experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems

Responsibilities

  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
  • Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
  • Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
  • Manage and grow the careers of software engineers

  • Demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
  • Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
  • Proven record of providing end-user support with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Must have a degree in a related field
