Paylocity is looking to solve the problem of translating business needs into actionable analytical solutions for its HR and payroll software solutions, by hiring a People Analytics Solutions Partner to bridge the gap between business strategy and data-driven insights.
Requirements
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts (fact/dimensions, time series analysis, star schema)
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret R code
- Experience with Power BI or another enterprise analytics platform (preferred)
- Previous exposure to working with technical teams (ETL, data engineering, or data science) (preferred)
- Understanding of DAX or R scripting logic (preferred)
- Strong understanding of people data domains: turnover, engagement, headcount, promotions, performance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative delivery environment
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with HRBPs and other stakeholders to deeply understand business priorities and frame those into actionable data problems.
- Own the intake and requirements-gathering process for high-impact people analytics projects.
- Lead conversations to clarify metrics, definitions, and required dimensions with a business-facing lens.
- Translate business needs into data requirements, flows, and user storyboards for the analytics team.
- Work closely with the team’s Technical Lead and UI/UX Lead to ensure aligned delivery across logic, structure, and user experience.
- Validate final outputs to ensure accuracy, usability, and business relevance prior to release.
- Develop working familiarity with the underlying data model, including fact and dimension relationships, star schema design, and time intelligence.

- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, including at least 4+ years in people analytics, workforce strategy, HR consulting, or a data-focused HR Business Partner (HRBP) role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Business, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field required.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and use of computer and phone systems
- High attention to detail and strong project coordination skills
- Proven ability to engage business leaders and frame data-informed narratives
